Many exchange copy-trading programs keep a share of your profit, up to 30% on Binance, Bybit and OKX futures according to their help pages. AlphaYou charges 0.05% of each copied trade when it executes and takes nothing from your gains. The catch is that you pay that fee on every fill, win or lose.
| What you compare | Exchange copy trading | AlphaYou |
|---|---|---|
| Share of your profit | Up to 30% on Binance, Bybit and OKX futures. Up to 50% in OKX private mode. | None. 0.05% per copied trade, only when it executes. |
| Who holds your money | The exchange. | You. Funds sit in your own account. |
| Can you check the trader's record | Only what the exchange chooses to show. | Yes. Every position is public on Hyperliquid. |
| Leaving | Subject to exchange reviews and freezes. | Stop any time. You sign every withdrawal yourself. |
| Fee on a losing trade | A profit share takes nothing when you lose. Trading fees still apply. | 0.05% still applies, because it is charged on every fill. |
Exchange figures are from each exchange's help documentation, checked September 20, 2026. Terms change, so check the current page before you decide.
Hyperliquid's own fee depends on your rolling 14 day trading volume, so the second figure moves with how much you trade. The example does not cover every builder-deployed market, including the stock contracts, where exchange fees can differ.
A flat fee is charged on every fill, including trades that lose money. A profit share takes nothing when the strategy loses, so for a strategy that trades a lot and earns little, per-trade fees can cost more than a share of a small profit would.
Funding, spread and slippage are separate costs. Look at the fee shown when you review a strategy before you start it.
The costs and the risks. You pay fees on every fill, funding can add a payment or a credit, and you can lose money, including your whole deposit on leveraged positions. Your result will differ from the trader's.
No. AlphaYou charges 0.05% of each copied trade when it executes, plus Hyperliquid's own trading fee. There is no subscription and no share of profit.

It depends on how much the strategy trades and how much it earns. A flat fee costs the same on a winning trade and a losing one. A profit share costs nothing when the strategy loses and more when it wins.
AlphaYou copy trading is offered outside the US and Ontario. Here it is research only, and nothing on this page is investment advice.
