Quiver Quantitative Alternatives (2026)
Quiver Quantitative alternatives compared: Capitol Trades, OpenInsider, WhaleWisdom, Unusual Whales, Autopilot and AlphaYou. What each covers, what it costs, and who each one suits.
You open Quiver to check a congress trade. The trade list is free. Then you click into a politician's portfolio, or the backtester, and it asks you to upgrade. Now the real question shows up: is there a tool that just does the part you use?
Direct answerMost people use Quiver for 1 or 2 datasets, so the best alternative is the tool that does that dataset well. Capitol Trades is free for congress trades. OpenInsider is free for insider buys. WhaleWisdom goes deeper on 13F fund history. Unusual Whales adds options flow. Autopilot places copy trades in your own broker. AlphaYou puts congress, insider and fund filings in one feed with a public call record.
- Quiver plus 6 alternatives. Coverage and pricing were checked on each site in September 2026. Prices change often, so confirm before you pay.
- Quiver's strength is breadth. It covers congress trades, insider buys, 13F funds, government contracts, lobbying, patents and a long list of niche datasets. Premium adds politician portfolios, strategy tracking and backtesters. If you use that breadth, Quiver is hard to replace, and $300 a year is fair for it. If you use 1 or 2 pages, a focused tool may do those pages better, or for free.
- Capitol Trades covers congress trades with no account and 3 years of history. OpenInsider covers insider Form 4 buys with no account. Between them, most of what people open Quiver for is free. Note that Quiver's own free plan also includes live congress and insider data, so switching is about layout and depth, not access.

Which Part of Quiver Do You Use?
Quiver's strength is breadth.
Congress and Insider Data for Free
Capitol Trades covers congress trades with no account and 3 years of history. OpenInsider covers insider Form 4 buys with no account. Between them, most of what people open Quiver for is free. Note that Quiver's own free plan also includes live congress and insider data, so switching is about layout and depth, not access.
Deeper Fund Data
WhaleWisdom is the pick for 13F history. Its free tier covers the last 2 years of filings. Even the free tier can backtest on those 2 years. Standard is $90 a quarter and adds 13F history back to 2001, with limits on how many funds and stocks you can pull. If your Quiver habit is checking what funds hold, this goes further.
If You Want Trades Placed for You
Quiver offers strategy copy trading through a partner, Quantbase. Autopilot is the other well-known option. It connects to your own brokerage and copies a chosen portfolio, such as its Pelosi Tracker. Autopilot even hosts portfolios built by Quiver. Per The College Investor, it costs $29 a quarter or $100 a year for each portfolio, with a $500 minimum per portfolio. That is a different product from a tracker. It moves your money, so read how it works before you connect a broker.
Where AlphaYou Fits
AlphaYou reads congress trades, insider Form 4s, 13F fund filings, government contracts and tracked influencer calls in one feed. New filings are pulled in the day they are published. Our own stock calls go on a public, timestamped record, so you can judge us on every call, not the best ones. Lite is $29 a month or $199 a year, and the free plan shows a preview of each tracker.
Where it is a weaker fit: we cover fewer datasets than Quiver. There is no lobbying, patent or flight data, no backtester, and we do not place trades. If those are what you use, Quiver is the better tool. For a straight head-to-head, see our AlphaYou vs Quiver Quantitative page.
