Over 30 weekends, WTI oil moved a median +0.59% between the Friday close and the Sunday reopen, from -7.33% to +7.28%. Brent: median +0.94%.
In the first hour after the reopen, oil, Brent, natural gas, silver and copper moved more than in an ordinary hour, gold somewhat more and the S&P 500 and SpaceX about the same.
A price record, not a return and not a forecast. A perpetual price is not the underlying price.
The move in each perpetual between the Friday close and just before the reopen, over every weekend in the record. Weekends up / down counts weekends by direction. It is not a success rate, and a weekend that rounds to 0.00% is neither.

A dash means the market was not in the record that weekend. n/a means there was no reopen to measure or a candle was missing.
Weekend moves (CSV): one row per market and weekend, with percentages and timestamps. Free to use with this credit: Source: AlphaYou, alphayou.net/hyperliquid/weekend-prices, from Hyperliquid public data.
The median size of the move in the first hour after the reopen, against the median size of an ordinary Tuesday to Thursday hour (10:00 to 16:00 ET) in the same market: WTI crude oil 0.82% against 0.437% (1.9 times); Brent crude oil 0.69% against 0.357% (1.9 times); natural gas 1.03% against 0.339% (3.0 times); silver 0.55% against 0.291% (1.9 times); gold 0.22% against 0.163% (1.3 times); copper 0.27% against 0.161% (1.7 times); the S&P 500 0.11% against 0.106% (1.0 times); SpaceX 0.53% against 0.581% (0.9 times). So the reopen hour was larger than an ordinary weekday hour for WTI crude oil, Brent crude oil, natural gas, silver and copper, somewhat larger for gold and about the same for the S&P 500 and SpaceX. The reopen hour includes ordinary movement as well as any jump back to the reference price. A price record, not a return and not a forecast. A perpetual price is not the underlying price.
Over 30 weekends from 2026-04-03 to 2026-10-23, Hyperliquid's WTI perpetual moved a median +0.59% between Friday 5:00 PM ET and Sunday 6:00 PM ET, from -7.33% (2026-07-31) to +7.28% (2026-04-17). It was up in 22 weekends and down in 7, a count of directions and not a success rate. In the hour after the reopen the median move was 0.82 percent either way, against 0.437 for an ordinary weekday hour. A price record, not a return and not a forecast. A perpetual price is not the underlying price.
No. It compares Hyperliquid's perpetual with its own earlier price: the Friday close, just before the Sunday reopen, and one hour after it. No futures or stock price is used. When the reference market reopens, trade[XYZ]'s documentation says the venue's reference price returns to it, so the move in the first hour is the closest indication of how far the weekend price was from where the reference market started. It also contains ordinary movement.
Those are the times the venue's documentation gives for energy, metals and index futures: the reference price stops at Friday 5:00 PM ET and starts again on Sunday at 6:00 PM ET. For SpaceX, a US-listed stock, the times are Friday 8:00 PM ET and Sunday 8:05 PM ET, and because the candles are hourly the hour measured runs 8:00 to 9:00 PM, which includes the five minutes before stock prices are read again. Between the close and the reopen, the price is set by Hyperliquid traders.
Yes, it is free to use with the credit. The CSV has one row per market and weekend, with percentages and timestamps. Please credit it: "Source: AlphaYou, alphayou.net/hyperliquid/weekend-prices, from Hyperliquid public data".
They count the weekends on which the perpetual finished higher or lower than it started, between the Friday close and the Sunday reopen. They are a count of directions over a record of past weekends. They are not a success rate, a win rate or a measure of any strategy, and a weekend that rounds to 0.00% is neither.
No. It is a record of past weekends from one period of about six months. Nothing on this page is a forecast or investment advice.
