Here's how you get a summary:

  1. Go to Gemini. Works in most countries but not Canada.

  2. Type in "Write a summary of this video covering key topics of discussion" and add the link. Then say "Use bullet points and time stamps for all main sections. Include some quotes too."

The Growth Insight 🌱

Why Credibility Matters and How to Signal it?

When people decide to buy something, credibility acts like a mental shortcut. Instead of carefully thinking through a decision, people look to credible sources to tell them what to do.

Researchers saw this when they scanned people's brains as they made financial choices. First, people evaluated options and the decision-making parts of their brains lit up. But when an expert gave advice first, those parts stayed dark - people just went with the recommendation.

People don't like to think too hard when deciding. They want someone trustworthy to do the mental work.

There are 4 main factors that signal credibility:

1️⃣ Expertise - we trust experts in their field

2️⃣ Trustworthiness - we believe honest, reliable people

3️⃣ Likability - we trust people we like

4️⃣ Shared values and experiences

So how can you showcase credibility to attract more buyers?

If you run a service business, highlight your credentials and achievements in your social media bio.

If you run a DTC brand, you can convert more visitors into shoppers by showing behind-the-scenes work.

Surprisingly, admitting weaknesses builds trust and makes your other claims more believable. Advertisers find mentioning a product's flaws first increases sales. Attorneys who mention weaknesses in their own case before the opposition often win.

Show your credibility so they know you're the one to buy from
